Farm Optimisation Group was founded in 2022 by software engineers Jacob Bennetts and Adam Bardsley, together with agricultural economist Michael Young. Originally, our aim was to build software to help farmers with strategic planning.

As we grew, we gained strong traction in the research and development space, providing farm economic analysis for a range of organisations. In 2025, reflecting this analytical focus, Michael acquired full ownership of the company.

Today, Farm Optimisation Group is recognised as the go-to company for farm analysis, while maintaining a strong software focus through our team of developers working on the Farm Optimiser tool and other innovations.
